If you are trying to conceive, you must try these Tips

Updated: Dec 16, 2022

It's never easy to give up habits you love, but having a baby requires a little sacrifice.

This post is for women who desire to start a family. Many women say they were able to conceive a child after following some of these tips, despite the fact that not all of these tips have been scientifically validated.

If you're reading this because you've been trying to conceive for a long time, you're probably doing it because you really have nothing to lose. You should keep in mind that it's not a waste of time to explore all of your options. Note that none of these suggestions have any negative impact on or threat to the health of women.

As a woman, it's fair to assume that after a few unsuccessful efforts, we end up believing that something is wrong with us and that we are less of a woman if we can't conceive. You should seek medical help if you've tried for a year and still haven't had a baby. Please know you are not deserving of pity or shame because of your inability to get pregnant naturally or to conceive at all after seeking expert treatment.

To say it another way, if you checked with your Obstetrician and the issues you have been having are not health related, you should not hesitate to keep trying , you may as well get pregnant sooner than you expected !

Consider scrolling down to find out these tips, I believe they will be as useful to you as they were to me.

1- Increase the intake of Folic acid, DHA and Iron

The first thing you need to do if you want to conceive is to increase your vitamin and mineral salt intake. Several studies have shown that maintaining a well-varied diet with a moderate amount of nutrients improves fertility significantly.

When i refer to food containing a diverse set of nutrients, I am talking about vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, and all of the nutritious foods out there, mainly Folic Acid, DHA, and Iron. If you want to know what foods contain these nutrients, please refer to What foods contain Folic acid, DHA, and Iron.

2-Exercise regularly

Make time for exercise. Regular physical activity helps circulation, reduces anxiety, and also affects hormonal balance. Working out increases a man's overall fertility. It doesn’t have to be anything heavy if you are not an active person. Try walking for 30-45 minutes a day. It should be enough.

3. Avoid Smoking, excessive caffeine, and too much alcohol

Smoking can jeopardize your ability to conceive. Women who smoke hasten the aging of their ovarian follicles, which can lead to early menopause. If you stop smoking, you may be able to reverse the damage caused by smoking in three months.
Drinking more than five cups of coffee per day is linked to lower fertility.

Caffeine consumption in excess of 200 mg per day may increase your risk of miscarriage if you become pregnant. To be safe, limit yourself to two cups or less per day.

When you're trying to conceive, limit your alcohol consumption to no more than two drinks per day and avoid it entirely if you become pregnant-no amount is considered safe once a baby is in the womb.

4. Keep the sperm in

Although science has yet to prove its validity, many women attest that if you can figure out how to keep sperm in when trying to conceive, you'll have success getting pregnant.

Some studies show that as soon as a woman engages in vaginal intercourse, she should avoid defecation or urination, as this could drastically reduce the amount of sperm in the vagina.
And some studies has shown that conceiving has no relation whatsoever with how long you keep the sperm in and that regardless of which position you use during or after sex , when a men’s sperm swims out , it goes straight into the cervical. Either way it costs nothing to try it out, i tried this method myself and boom , it worked like magic.

5. Avoid Junk food

There is compelling evidence that women experiencing infertility due to irregular menstrual cycles may benefit from reducing their sugar and processed food intake. A balanced diet will also help regulate your insulin levels, which will increase your chances of becoming pregnant in the future.

6. Fertility-friendly lubricants

Stick to fertility-friendly lubricants like Conceive Plus, which are pH-balanced to mirror your body's natural lubrication while causing no harm to your partner's sperm. It's fine to use a lubricant when trying to conceive, but make sure it's a fertility-friendly lubricant. In vitro, sperm motility can be affected by certain chemicals in specific brands (though some research suggests they may not ultimately affect your chances of conceiving).

7. Avoid Stress

The more stress women perceive, the harder it is for them to conceive, research suggests. If you have trouble managing your stress, talk with your doctor about the ways to deal with your stress. Try yoga, meditation, and acupuncture for a low-stress day.

I hope that these tips might help you get pregnant as soon as possible and naturally. Strong hug from MommyLu 😘.
